New this school year, GEF is introducing a new grant opportunity for Granville County Public Schools and teachers. The Performing & Visual Arts Grant is designed to support, promote, and enhance creative efforts in the fields of music, theater, dance, visual arts, and photography/videography.  The goal is for the grant projects to focus both on supporting student projects that go beyond what the current visual and performing arts curriculum provides and by extending exposure of these artistic endeavors to the community, i.e. other students in the school, other schools, and/or to the larger Granville County community.

This grant opportunity was created from an individual community member's donation because of their appreciation of the arts and their understanding of the importance of the arts, particularly at the middle and high school level.

The Performing and Visual Arts Grants are available for middle and high school grades only, and will be awarded in an amount up to $1,500 for use during the 2017-2018 school year.  Refer to the application and rubric for more detailed guidelines!

2017-2018 Grant Applications are due on Friday, October 6, 2017 and will be awarded early November 2017.
